Music

Music at Crispin is something every student does, not just watches. In Key Stage 3, students find their singing voice, learn to read music on the keyboard, pick up the guitar and form their own bands, and compose music for film and video games.

Every project builds performing, composing and listening skills, and grows students’ confidence to perform in front of others. Beyond the classroom, music is everywhere: our choirs, orchestra and ensembles rehearse regularly, students form their own bands, and there are performances at the Carol Service in Wells Cathedral, the Spring Concert and the Performing Arts Show, as well as in the local community.

Instrumental and vocal lessons are subsidised by our Trustees, so more students can take part. At Key Stage 4, students can take GCSE Music or Music Technology.
