Foundation Project Qualification

The Foundation Project Qualification gives students the chance to become the expert on a topic they care about. Each student chooses and plans their own research project, agreed with their supervisor, often linked to an interest or a career they are aiming for.

Students build practical life skills too: writing a CV, applying to college, managing their wellbeing, budgeting and recognising scams. They complete a group community outreach project and present their work to a ‘boardroom’ panel, before finishing with a group payback project that makes a positive difference in the community. Throughout, students are supported to grow in confidence, so every student can make progress and take pride in what they achieve.
