Safeguarding

At Crispin, the safety and wellbeing of every child is our highest priority. Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, and we are committed to providing a safe and supportive environment in which every student can thrive.
Right Concern. Right Person. Right Time.
We use a Graduated Safeguarding Response to make sure students receive the right support, from the right person, at the right time. Not every concern requires the same response. A student may need support from their Tutor or Head of Year, while other concerns may require our pastoral, SEND or safeguarding teams, or specialist external agencies. Our staff are trained to recognise concerns and make sure they reach the right person, with serious or urgent safeguarding concerns escalated immediately. Students can speak to any adult at Crispin if they are worried about themselves or somebody else. We will listen, take concerns seriously and make sure the right support is provided.
Worried about a child?
If you are concerned about the safety or wellbeing of a student at Crispin, please tell us. You do not need to be certain that something is wrong before sharing a concern, and you do not need to decide who it should go to.

Online Safety
Keeping children safe online is an important part of safeguarding at Crispin. We work in partnership with Smoothwall to help students use technology safely, confidently and responsibly. Our Online Safety Hub provides parents and carers with practical guidance on popular apps and platforms, emerging online risks and ways to support children with their digital lives. By working together, we can help young people enjoy the opportunities technology provides while developing the knowledge and skills to keep themselves and others safe.
